Yoga, meditation, and spiritual programmes are integral to promoting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of inmates. These activities are being organized in daily basis to help reduce stress, anxiety, and aggression while improving concentration, discipline, and inner peace. Regular sessions of yoga and meditation encourage a healthy lifestyle, whereas spiritual programmes foster moral values, self-reflection, and positive thinking. Together, they play a significant role in the reformation, rehabilitation, and overall well-being of inmates, helping them lead a balanced and purposeful life.

  • De-addiction Counseling & Rehabilitation

De-addiction Counseling and Rehabilitation aims to help individuals overcome substance abuse and lead a healthy, productive life. It involves psychological counseling, medical support, and behavioral therapies to address addiction and its underlying causes. The programme focuses on awareness, motivation, relapse prevention, and social reintegration. Through regular counseling sessions, group activities, and rehabilitation measures, individuals are guided towards recovery, improved mental well-being, and a drug-free lifestyle.

  • Psychological Counseling

Psychological counseling in prisons is an essential intervention aimed at addressing mental stress, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues among inmates, particularly the youth. Under the Modernization of Prisons Project, emphasis is laid on providing regular counseling support through qualified mental health professionals. The initiative focuses on emotional well-being, stress management, rehabilitation, and social reintegration of inmates. Through individual and group counseling sessions, inmates are guided towards positive thinking, improved coping mechanisms, and a healthier, more balanced life.
